It's awesome that you chose to learn the keyboard. I've been playing for 6 years. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about.
Ok, the first thing you need to know is your posture. It's a key thing in playing the keyboard, standing or sitting. If you're sitting, your feet have to be flat on the ground, and stand up straight. Slouching will affect your playing. Not so hard, right?
The next thing you need to know is how to put your hands on the keyboard. Yeah, you just slam your hands on the keys, NOT! You have to have your hands cuffed when you play. It's kinda like typing properly. Just like that. If your hands aren't cuffed, when you play harder pieces, you might play some unwanted notes there. Oh yeah, the finger #s are really easy. Your thumb is 1st finger, index is 2nd finger, and so forth. Just wanna let you know that.
That's it! Later on (maybe, I dunno) I'll post a ditty on some scales. Hope this helps!
