first you say you wanna buy an 50W amp, in the next sentence it's a whole PA......

erm ok, forget the 50W amp if you have a band... it won't be loud enough!! I'd recommend a 100W combo minimum or better a half-stack (if you have a lot of money ... )

but why don't you just go into a shop and ask??
try the different amps and find out whichs the best for you...

with a PA system you have two choices: Play directly through it OR mic your amps. Then get some speakers that are however big you think you need (you don't need massive speakers if you're just doing small gigs)

Get a tube amp. They are really loud, if you can get a Marshall tube. I say maybe like a JCM800 or JCM2000 head. Then if possible get 2 4x12 cabinets (your choice of cabinet). Hook it up and rock out. 50 watt tubes are pretty loud. 100 watt will blow your head off lol. I suggest that you just get a big amp like that. If you are playing small venues it should be okay.
