what is the diffence between dynamic mics and condenser mics? i am solo and want to record my acoustic guitar and my voice but i don't know what type to look for (dynamic/condenser).
and also, do you have to get a special connection to hook a mic up to a computer?

You need to be able to hook into a USB port...the thing is, if your mic's jack is like a 1/4in jack you can get an adapter from RadioShack (I believe I saw one there...I got a 1/8in-1/4in adapter so I can plug my cd headphones into my amps Headphone Out) that you can plug into and then into the Microphone Line In spot on your comp.

It depends on what computer you have... If you are on a macintosh, there is a mic input in it... (small jack input)

With what program will you record it?

dude if you want to record acustic guitar and your voice only go with the condenser. the main diference between these mics are the frequency range and output, a condenser is more balanced than a dynamic mic. also they are more sensitive. to connect a condenser into your computer is not as easy as just plugin in. you need a console or a pre amp that has phantom power (condenser mics need this kind of power for them to run appropiately)

most different mics are for female and male singers, it's in the back ground of the voice and for the high's and lows of the singers........ if not... try going nito a studio and try out different mics or just as a proffesionall... dude its that simple
