OK, im sorry if others disagree with me, but does anyone agree when i say why the f**k do people ever call Led Zeppelin metal??? They are not a metal band, black sabbath were, megadeth are, iron maiden are, metallica are, but what the hell is going on when people call Led Zeppelin metal?? Just a few examples of their songs that are not metal:
-Ramble On -Thank You -Bring It On Home -What Is And What Should Never Be -Black Mountain Side -Your Time Is Gonna Come -How Many More Times -Celebration Day -Since I've Been Loving You -Out On The Tiles -Gallows Pole -Tangerine -That's The Way -Bron-Y-Aur Stomp -Hats Off To (Roy) Harper -The Battle Of Evermore -Misty Mountain Hop -D'Yer Maker
Ok wrote more than one or two, but that also proves my point, Dazed and Confused was probably the heaviest thing they've done but it isnt anything comparable to e.g Heaven and Hell, it's hard rock but not heavy metal. Bron-Y-Aur Stomp takes some Welsh folk influence from it, some of their songs were blues, and D'yer Maker is kind of reggae but done in their own style. I don't mean to sound really over the top here, but I get slightly confused when people will talk about metal bands and then include Led Zeppelin.
