Conor Oberst!!! There's no contest there. Unless of course he's not emo. But how can it not be? His songs are so damn emotional it's amazing. His lyrics are just perfect. He has a way of putting the thoughts in your head into beautiful poetry and then reciting them back to you in his dark-to-mildly uplifting voice.
