Review Squier Standard

Review by tabking on 22.12.2005

I bought it at Sam Goody on 12/21/05. I paid $99-10% (whatever that is). I bought if because I was in a dire need of a new accoustic, fast.

  Features

It rings alot after stopping each note. The paint on the bridge is starting to peal cause it was a floor model. I dosnnullt have a strap fasting thing, which relally stinks. And thatnulls about it.

  Playability

As I said earlier, it has an undisired "ring" to it.

  Quality

An average starter guitar with nothing special.

  Durability

Since it was a foor model, i suppose it has a good duribilty. Simi-frequent tuning is needed, but not great for live gigs. It can take a beating, though.

  Overall

Allright for starters. More advanced players should buy a more expensive guitar.

I recieved this guitar as a gift, but I know it was bought for about $100 at a local guitar shop as a starter pack.

  Features

The guitar overall is a rather good guitar. Inullve had some difficulty getting it into proper tuning, however, once I get it into tune, it stays really well. The only thing that I wish it had was a set up as an acoustic electric.

  Playability

I think that this guitar plays really well. Granted, itnulls not Martin, but younullre definitely getting more than your moneynulls worth with this guitar.

  Quality

This guitar has surprisingly good tone, and Inullve come across many other guitars that are worth far more that donnullt come close to what this guitar has.

  Durability

Inullve used this guitar for some acoustic gigs, however, due to the fact that it is not an acoustic electric, it does need to have a mic hooked up to it, so if younullre not wanting to do that, steer clear. Inullve had this guitar for over two years and Inullve never had any problems with it, and it hasnnullt ever needed frequent adjusting.

  Overall

I chose this guitar because I wanted to start playing guitar, and needed an inexpensive one to see if I liked it, and now a few years into my guitar playing, Inullm still as happy with this guitar as I was the first day I got it. If younullre considering getting an acoustic guitar, and donnullt want to spend a lot of money, I would highly reccomend this guitar.
