Review Prestigious Percussion Overlords Limited Series

Review by a visitor on 18.2.2011

We would like to volunteer ourselves for a review by you :)

We built the snare, and will be releasing our drum kits to the world at the 2011 Chicago Drum Show. We will be across from the Amedia Cymbals booth with demo kits for people to play.
We will also be attended by Zac Sullivan, the contender for Worlds Fastest Drummer at 1329 bpm.
He uses Custom made Prestigious Drum Sticks, heavier to build muscle, and lighter for some amazing speed.
He owns an amazing Prestigious DrumKit also,

http://www.prestigiouspercussion.com has pictures of the Overlords snare and other gear.

If you are interested in reviewing our snare that would be great, afterwards we will then send you pictures of our currently unreleased kits during release time in June for your review.

The Prestigious Team is not like your ordinary drum company in any sense.
We want to make the best product possible, using science, innovation and quality, regardless of cost.

There should be a higher standard available for drummers, yet we wish to be transparent, with honest shipping costs, and amazing customization services.

  Playability

This Prestigious Snare is very sensitive, with minimal buzz, amazing range and tunability, we had Chad Melchert (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=654197533) play, record and judge the sound quality and playability of a Prestigious Snare.
He was very pleased with it, and may even answer some questions about it if asked, i have included his facebook.

You can listen to the sound tracks here.

  Quality

Our shells are designed to transfer sound vibrations more accurately than a standard generic shell.

There is several reasons for this,

We handcraft each 3/16" Baltic Birch ply shell ensuring quality of the materials, then interlace a 1/3 horizontal grain to a 2/3 vertical grain.

We do this because the Majority Vertical Grain will transfer sound vibration along the grain giving a sharper, more sensitive sound.
The Horizontal Grain prevents the shell from splitting or cracking, giving it resilience and a core strength.

Threads are Double Tapped and oil drenched to remove any chance of burrs.

Tension Lugs are fully replaceable, and repair kits and repair services are available in multiple forms.

  Durability

This is a fine instrument, not made of die-cast, or factory made so durability is high, but these drums are for professionals with the care that entails.

Please watch our you-tube complete disassembly and reassembly, then complete tuning to learn how easy a prestigious drum is to maintain.

  Overall

This is a Custom Snare from a company that is trying to build using quality products, craftsmanship, honesty and care. They have developed a following online, and will be attending several major drum shows in North America unveiling their demonstration kits to the world, with custom racks, sticks, acoustic booths and swag.

Your review will be one of the first, giving you great promotional opportunity.

It would be great to answer any questions you may have.
