Review HB Predator

Review by a visitor on 11.3.2011

Didn't buy it. Wouldn't buy it. Wouldn't pay anything for it.

  Features

This review is actually for a U.S. made Hb drum set . Nothing better about these than the imported junk Hb already has. The hardware is still well below par, the inner shells were unsanded and rough, the bearing edges . . . . well, you get the idea.

  Playability

Maybe you can put some of the hoops in a vice and straighten them out. Three rims bent and one shell out of round.

  Quality

Quality? Forget about it. Non existant.

  Durability

I wouldn't be taking these "things" out to an important gig anytime soon. Durability? throw em' down a flight of steps a few times and see how they hold up. That's about all they're good for.

  Overall

Don't even bother with the U.S. made HB Drums. Your money will be much better spent on a good used set by Tama, Pearl etc.etc. HB still has a LONG way to go to match up with their competitors. Look, if your buying them as a first set, or just want to bang around on something, they will do fine. But HB markets their junk as being better than other companies sets that cost much more. Come on HB, get real.
