Review Fender DG-22 SCE

Review by fender_14 on 3.9.2006

I bought the Fender DG 22 SCE acoustic guitar online at www.musiciansfriend.com (about 4 months ago). I paid $300 for it. The list price was $750, so I got a good deal. I had heard about how good it sounded for so little cash so I decided to try it out.

  Features

I think the features are excellent because it has treble, mid, bass, and presence controls. It also has a built-in tuner that is very accurate and handy. You cannullt really ask for more features in an acoustic-electric.

  Playability

Good playability. The fretboard is nice and fast, and there is a single cut-away so you can reach all 20 frets with ease. I can do anything I want with this guitar.

  Quality

The quality is amazing. I ordered it with ebony back and sides and it is durable and looks great. The rosewood fretboard is nice too. Gold hardware adds to the beauty of this instrument.

  Durability

This guitar does not go out of tune very often, I only have to tune it about once a month. I have already used it in a live gig. However I would advise you to buy a hardshell case for it if you are going to take it to a gig (commom sense).

  Overall

Overall, I think this is the best guitar you can get for $300. Unfortunately, this guitar is no longer sold at musiciansfriend but you may be able to pick one up at a local guitar center. I chose this because of the amazing price and I am not going to be replacing it anytime soon. This guitar has exceded my expectations!
