I bought this guitar for $538 in 1997. Over the next five years I bought and sold over 17 electrics, but played this guitar an average of three hours daily. Itnulls action low, tone mellow. A year ago my daughter needed surgery, so I sold all of my equipment, but I sold this guitar to a family friend who promised that the day I wanted to buy it back it was mine. Last month, I went to buy it back. He told me he couldnnullt part with it, it was the only guitar he played daily. Inullm bidding on another.

This is an acoustic guitar, I liked the shadow electronics, but I had to be very careful to adjust my PA and the internal electronics to prevent feedback. |

The action on this was excellant. The only other guitar Inullve owned that played better was a Guild F-50. I loved the way the tone seems to vibrate right through my body when I soft pick it; yet it can truly belt if I get a little forceful. Throughout, it never loses that rich tone. |

This is not a Taylor, but then, it costnulls one sixth of what I consider the next best guitar to cost. Even in Epiphonenulls, this model performs substantially better than other, higher priced models. |

This is an acoustic guitar, Itnulls made of wood, and as such is fairly responsive to both temperature, and humidity. It required less adjustment than my older Martins, but I did have to continuously tweak the neck adjustment. That being said, the guitar was structurally sound the day it left my hands. |

I think you can read how I feel about this product. I have not been able to find another Guild F 50 since 1978, and While I have found and played two Taylornulls that I would walk away from this guitar for, both of them cost about the same as a good used car - well beyond my price range. For the forseeable future, this is the guitar that best meets my needs, price range, and sonic expectations. |

Well, it is a beautifully built instrument with a rosewood fretboard, rather decorative mother-of-pearl in-lays, A Shadow P-7 pick-up which provides a very deep, lovely sound (its an electric/acoustic), very accurate and enduring Grover tuning keys (brass). also it is a cut-away for righties... I am a lefty and i play upside-down right handed, but i can still play up to the 17th fret (out of 20 total) with no problem what-so-ever. the hammer-ons and pull-offs are very crisp and clear. the strings hover about 1mm above fret one and about 3mm above fret 20 so it makes for excellent playing. the pick-up takes 1 9v battery and has an adjustable volume, sub-bass, bass, mid, treble, and brightness. It also has an anti-feedback switch which you can set on or off. I have had zero problems with it for the first year. I have it customly strung, and it still sounds wonderful (it is still tuned eadgbe but the b and e strings at top are replaced with an a and d string but tuned to b and e so its an octive lower) I have played it ALOT and I must say, I would not trade it for any other guitar. Only thing i dont like is it has the bridge(bottom bridge that is) set to where you have to string it through the INSIDE of the guitar, and i HATE that... I have some big hands and usually have to have my fiancee restring it for me. |

I have played alot of acoustic guitars, and if you are going for that rare, mellow, almost bass-like sound, this guitar is perfect. never once have a found a guitar that has as mellow a sound as this one, even with the same strings (i use Martin strings) and it was EXACTLY the sound I was hoping for when i bought it. |

the sound quality is wonderful, it picks up low tones and high tones at equal volumes and also the equilizer selections actually do make a difference in the sound. Only complaint is even with the feedback control on, i still get some feedback, but that might have to do with how close i am to the amp, and the fact that my amp is pretty crappy (old $50 fender amp, about 17 inches wide). I would give it a 4.4 on a scale to 5 (the guitar, that is) |

Well The tuning keys are Grovers, as I stated above, and lets put it this way... i didnt play it for a month, picked it up to play, and every string wasq within 1/6 step in tune. Very dependable and reliable. |

It is, by far one of the best guitars I have ever played, A definate five in my book BUT if you are going for a "bright" sound, do NOT buy this guitar. This is for the mellow sounding acoustic. The clarity of the notes is so mellow in fact, it sounds like a keyboard (or piano) when played. A WONDERFUL buy for any level guitarist!
BUT ONE! NOW! If i had a choice between this and a Gibson, I would still choose this guitar. I would pay up to 1500 dollars for this guitar if i had to, but thankfully, it was 5X less than that... :-) |
