I have the cutaway electric version. Bought in Orem, UT for $249. I liked it from the moment I picked it up.

The sound is very good, especially for a guitar in this price range. It has a solid top, but ply sides. However, mine sounds very good.
On the negative side: the electronics are kind of cheap, although they work OK. The quality of construction seems OK but not great. The pins and pin holes are not precision or high-quality. The important thing to me was that I sounded good and played well right out of the box. I don't regret buying it, especially after the pro. set up. |

I decided to have it professionally set up: frets leveled, filed and polished, bone nut and saddle, rod adjusted, action set just above the frets. It cost me $220, so I'm into it about $470. Seems like alot of money for such a guitar, however my Luthier (whom I trust) said the guitar was worth the extra cost to set up correctly. I agree with him now. My RD20 plays very well and has helped me improved my ability.

I am no pro, but I think my RD20 sounds very good. It won't match some of the high-end Martins and Gibsons, but for the bucks it's not bad at all. |

I play mine in church about once a month. Short gigs, nothing too extreme, but I feel comfortable with this guitar. It holds it tune quite well even when I'm really wailing on it. |

I needed an amped accoustic to play in church. This one felt good and the price was right. I am very happy with it, but I am always looking at additional guitars to acquire. Next purchase will probably be an Ephipone Masterbilt 500M with a pick up. |

This review is for an Alvarez RD2OS acoustic guitar. I bought this guitar at my local guitar store around the middle of September, it cost like $310 or something like that.

I think it has a solid spruce top. a rosewood fretboard, mother of pearl dot inlays. It stays in tune really really well for its price range. The only abnormal thing on the guitar is the pickguard, its not the regular teardrop shape but more like a teardrop shape with the top right half cut off. |

Compared to the other acoustic guitars that i have played in its price range, it is excellent, it stays in tune a whole lot longer than all of the others. the bridge is the right distance from the soundhole for easy palm muting. |

I think that it has an excellent sound quality. there are no excess noises coming from the guitar. As ive said before, it plays better than the others in its price range. |

My overall opinion is that it is a very good guitar. I doubt that you will find a better guitar for its price. I love it |
